Welcome! I am a mom to two wonderful kids, a lovely retired greyhound, and a wife to a great husband. Needless to say, there are a lot of daily messes to clean up around our house. Daily Messes is my blog to share ideas on things to do with your kids, snack and meal ideas, crafts, and holiday fun. I hope you find something to enjoy!

Help! The Toilet Paper Roll Turned Into A Monster!

Living with three boys, we tend to go through a lot of toilet paper. Instead of throwing them all out, we save a few and make crafts out of them. The last one we made was a monster!

You will need:
  • Toilet paper roll or paper towel roll cut in half
  • Craft paint
  • Paint brush
  • Googly eyes
  • Pipe cleaner
  • Craft glue

Directions:
1. Paint the toilet paper roll and set aside to dry.
2. Once it is dried, glue on googly eyes. Have fun: the monster could have 1 eye, 2 or 3 three eyes, or more! Let dry.
3. Poke a hole on the sides of the roll. I used a pencil, but a thick needle, end of a paper clip, or a pen tip would work well too.
4. Thread pipe cleaner through the holes and fold or move to create the arms.
5. Finish decorating the monster. I only drew on a mouth, but there are lots of possibilities! (i.e. insert golf tees for Frankenstein bolts, draw on spots or use stickers to decorate, glue on craft foam pieces, etc.)
