Welcome! I am a mom to two wonderful kids, a lovely retired greyhound, and a wife to a great husband. Needless to say, there are a lot of daily messes to clean up around our house. Daily Messes is my blog to share ideas on things to do with your kids, snack and meal ideas, crafts, and holiday fun. I hope you find something to enjoy!

Snowman Magnets

School was cancelled again for the bitter cold. After finishing up homework projects, we still had lots of time left in the day. I had been wanting to do a snowman craft with the boys for awhile and it seemed like the right time. The boys had lots of fun making these.

You will need:
Directions:
1. We made a two ball snowman, so we cut the popsicle stick to fit our design.
2. Glue the bottom snowball to the bottom of the popsicle stick. (I found it easiest to start at the bottom and work up.)
3. Cut the length of scarf you want from the yarn/ribbon/foam sheet.
4. Place a drop of glue right above the bottom ball and lay the scarf across. You want equal length on both sides (or at least close).
5. Glue the next snowball on and let glue set.
6. Arrange the scarf and glue down to the bottom ball.
7. Cut out a hat shape from the black foam sheet and glue to the top of the stick above the top ball. DM Tip: Higgins just glued his straight to the stick, but Bernardo wanted his hat to look like it was sitting on the snowman's head. We cut small pieces of the foam sheet (about 3) and glued them down in a stack. We then glued the hat on top, so it looked like it was sitting on the snowman's head.
8. Next, we glued on small beads for the eyes, nose, and buttons.
9. After the glue has set, attach the magnet(s) to the back of the popsicle stick and enjoy!
