Welcome! I am a mom to two wonderful kids, a lovely retired greyhound, and a wife to a great husband. Needless to say, there are a lot of daily messes to clean up around our house. Turkey Snack Bag

As you may have noticed, I may go slightly over the top with themed snacks around the holidays for my kids.  Today was no exception. We made turkey snack bags! These would also be great for a Thanksgiving party, goodie bags, or for a school snack.

You will need:
  • Construction paper (brown, white, black, yellow, red, orange, etc.)
  • Snack or Sandwich sized Ziploc bags. (The snack bag shown is a sandwhich sized bag.)
  • Glue or glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • Snack mix (I mixed together pretzels, candy corn, raisins, chocolate chips, mini marshmallows.)
Directions:
1. Cut out an oval shaped body from the brown paper. You want it to be the width of the sandwich bag. Fold in half, lengthwise. (I have stencil below, if you want to use them.)
2. Cut out a circle for the head (brown paper).
3. Next, cut out circles for the eyes. Larger white circles for eyes and smaller black circles for the pupils.
4. Cut out feathers from different colors of construction paper.
5. Glue the pieces together and let dry.
6. Fill the Ziploc bag with the snack mix.
7. Once the turkey is dried, place on top of the snack bag and staple in place.
8. Enjoy!
