Welcome! I am a mom to two wonderful kids, a lovely retired greyhound, and a wife to a great husband. Needless to say, there are a lot of daily messes to clean up around our house. Reverse Omelet

We saw a video of someone making an inside out omelet while we were on the road. It seemed a little crazy, as I love the melty cheese from an omelet. However, after making one, hubby has said this is the only way we should make omelets from now on!

Inside Out/Reverse Omelet

Prep Time: 5 minutes. Cook Time: 5-10 minutes.

You will need (per omelette):

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheese (sharp cheddar is our favorite)
  • Seasoning(s) of you choice (pepper, salt, Everything Bagel, etc.)
  • Fillings (mushrooms, tomatoes, cooked meats/lunch meat, spinach, peppers, onions, etc.)

Directions:

  1. Whisk eggs and milk together until well combined.
  2. Heat butter in non-stick pan over medium heat.
  3. Sprinkle cheese evenly over the entire pan. Cook until bubbly.
  4. Slowly, and evenly, pour the egg/milk mixture around the pan.
  5. Add seasoning and fillings.
  6. Cover and cook for a few minutes, until egg is set.
  7. Flip one side over to cover the other side to form a crescent and enjoy.

NOTE: If you don’t have a Trader Joe’s near you, you can still get the Everything But the Bagel Seasoning* online. It is amazing in a lot of recipes and Ben highly recommends it. I am not a huge everything bagel person, so I made my omelet without it.
