Welcome! I am a mom to two wonderful kids, a lovely retired greyhound, and a wife to a great husband. Needless to say, there are a lot of daily messes to clean up around our house. Daily Messes is my blog to share ideas on things to do with your kids, snack and meal ideas, crafts, and holiday fun. I hope you find something to enjoy!

Help! An Alligator Is On My Fridge!

Higgins made this at school and I love it. I normally hang their art work and papers on the fridge, but this one makes me smile every time I see it.

You will need:

Directions:

  1. Paint clothespin green and let dry.
  2. Cut pipe cleaners into pieces for legs (about 3.5-4 inches).
  3. String a pipe cleaner through the back spring to make the back legs and attach with a drop of glue.
  4. Place second pipe cleaner in the second groove to make the front legs. Attach with glue.
  5. Glue beads onto clothespin with smooth side facing front. You want it to be a little before the front legs.
  6. Once glue has set, draw on pupils with marker.
  7. If desired, add on some glitter glue spots.
  8. Attach magnets (either with stick on magnets or with a thin line of hot glue).

Make it an alligator themed day by making the alligator magnets for a craft and alligator cupcakes and cookie pops for a snack!
