Welcome! I am a mom to two wonderful kids, a lovely retired greyhound, and a wife to a great husband. Needless to say, there are a lot of daily messes to clean up around our house. Daily Messes is my blog to share ideas on things to do with your kids, snack and meal ideas, crafts, and holiday fun. I hope you find something to enjoy!

Footprints On My Heart, A Craft for Valentine's Day

For an easy craft idea (maybe even cards to send to Grandmas), try making a heart thumb or footprint card. These are also great to keep in memory boxes!

You will need:
  • Construction paper (red and pink)
  • White craft paint
  • Paint brush
  • Glue stick
Directions:
1. Cut out a large (larger than your child's feet) heart shape out of pink paper.
2. Using a paint brush, brush a light layer of craft paint on your child's bottom of foot.
3. Press onto paper.
4. Repeat with other foot to create a heart shape.
5. Let dry.
6. Once the paint is dry, glue to a sheet of red paper and write your Valentine's Day message!

DM Alternatives: The feet work really well with smaller kids. If you have older kids, the thumbs also work really well.
