Welcome! I am a mom to two wonderful kids, a lovely retired greyhound, and a wife to a great husband. Needless to say, there are a lot of daily messes to clean up around our house. Daily Messes is my blog to share ideas on things to do with your kids, snack and meal ideas, crafts, and holiday fun. I hope you find something to enjoy!

It's A-Mazing: Shoe Box Lid Maze

For this craft you will need:
  • Shoe box lid (or other similar sized lid)
  • Craft Glue
  • Marble
  • Plastic straws
  • Construction paper
  • Scissors

Directions:

1. Cut and glue a piece of construction paper to the inside of the lid.
2. Cut out two small squares of white paper and write Start and Finish. Glue at
either end of the lid. (You could also just draw them on like I did.)
3. Trace out your path. Make sure to included dead ends! (HINT: Make sure your
marble can fit through the paths!)
4. Cut the plastic straws to fit and glue over your traced paths. Be sure to
include straws for the start and finish squares.
5. Let dry.
6. Place marble in the Start location and tilt to maneuver the marble to the finish square!
